DEAD ALIVE RULES!!!

The part with the lawnmower is a classic momment in zombie movie history... and that priest was pretty bad-ass too.

Or the part where the two zombies fuck eachother

and the baby zombie they made.

They used so much blood in that movie that they had to raise the floor of that set. Its hard to believe that the same guy who made that made Lord of the Rings.

Resident Evil series, Romero's "Of the Dead" movies, Shaun of the Dead...and Quarantine...well, it wasn't that great.
The dog connotation sort of fits though...considering it was weaponized mutated Rabies.
There's another movie from Mexico <Unsure exactly, just know they spoke spanish> called [REC] that Quarantine was "stolen from". It was better.

Yeah, I heard he won the title of goriest movie ever not once, but twice for Dead Alive and Bad Taste.
It would be nice if he returned to his roots, but, sadly, I don't think thats going to happen after the mainstream success he's had.

I remember seeing that and seeing Peter Jackson's name on it and my jaw just dropping. I couldn't believe that...but...he wanted Sean Connery to play Gandalf too. Which would have been a huge mistake. He's apparently not known for good decisions.

DO NOT QUESTION PETER JACKSON.

Im surprised noone has mentioned how he also did the Frighteners (another outstanding movie.) I'm honestly not that huge of a fan of the Lord of the Rings, but off the top of my head he is the only director I can think of who has not had a single shitty movie. Its also quite impressive that he writes and produces most of his movies as well as directing them

"Land of the Dead" - the plumber zombie was badass! the trumpet playing zombie (stuck in the gazebo) was also great.

Oh...I question Peter Jackson...every time I think about the Sean Connery thing...I can't see him as Gandalf. That and the fact that they wanted to give Connery something like 90 percent of the worldwide take on the movie...it would have given him something like over 400 billion dollars. Which makes me wonder why he turned it down and why he's not kicking himself every day.

I loved The Frighteners...I probably was the only person in the theatre that actually liked it...or saw it more than once.

The plumber zombie from The Beyond (his name was Joe which, in light of whats happening in the U.S. election, is KINDA funny) was also badass.
Its good to know a trade other than eating brains and shambling mindlessly.
Zombies can be useful too: Like Hanukkah Zombie, the zombies from Fido, and of coarse The Richard Simmons work-out zombie. ;)

Fido was a pretty good comedy horror. I liked it enough that I'd probably watch it again if it were on t.v. or something. It had some good genre jokes in it as I recall.

I enjoyed Fido a lot. I liked the premise and story line, it was an interesting take on the zombie genre.

Anyone ever see Frankenhooker? A guy brings his fiancee back from the dead using a body made up from parts of NJ hookers - he kills them for body parts by giving them 'supercrack' lol. Ok not really a zombie movie but kinda sorta related....

Speaking of zombie trades... ;)
I'll have to put Frankenhooker on my list of things to watch.
