To make this short: as some of you may know, Brody Dalle, formerly Armstrong, of the band the Distillers used to be married to Rancid leader and punk legend Tim Armstrong. They split in a messy divorce etc. etc. Allegedly the cause of the break-up had to do with Tim catching a Rolling Stone article of the two of them ( Brody and former Kyuss/now QoTSA singer Josh Homme)together. Apparently he had no idea what was going on.

So my question is this: who wins the fight if Armstrong should happen to come upon Homme and feels like kicking his ass?

As this relates to music, I just thoguht I'd ask.

Oh, and what's everybody's opinions on the bands I mentioned? I hope there are some punk fans on here.

And personally, I think Tim wins, only because he has that scrappy never-give-up punk attitude and long hard life experience to go by. I'm not sure Josh can even take a punch, much less throw one.

Another tidbit of information: Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan aren't playing for QOTSA anymore.



I saw the Distillers open for QOTSA last year, they were okay i guess. I didn't pay too much attention though. I was in the other room getting drunk & waiting for them to be over so I could plow my way to the stage for the QOTSA set.

I don't know anything about this, but going by the pictures Tim looks like a much more angry person, and Josh kind of looks like a pansy.

i like Tim but he looks like a little burnout who'd back out of a fight. Who knows though, maybe he's a really good fighter with punk rock powers.

Josh beat up this tv crew member at the Big Day Out festival in london. I wouldn't pick a fight with him. He's very tall, large, and built. Don't let the cute hair fool you.

You see, this can be a trick question: the answer should be: WHO CARES?!? While they beat the shit out of each other, I'll be getting it on with Brody. ;)

I have to concede that Josh has the height advantage, but you have to understand the rage Tim could possess of the angry, jilted ex-husband looking at the guy who stole his chick. Anger is the x-factor in this equation.

I'm sticking with Tim, but for the record I could kick both of their asses, and that is not a joke.

But I'd rather jump on the Brody bandwagon.

josh homme kicked nick out of the band because he couldnt handle the rock n roll lifestyle. combine that with being one of the pioneers of a genre called "stoner rock" and you've got a pretty mellow guy. im not saying he couldnt dish it out...im just saying at this point he'd probably just go "meh"

Josh got in a fist fight the other night at a bar in NYC and had to cancel an Eagles of Death Metal show because he broke his hand on some dude's face.

i would go with Tim because of the x factor, anger. however, if he fights like their last album sounds, he'll get his ass handed to him. he'll need someone to help him back up again when he falls back down.
