Since my hubby and I came back to Ontario for a few months, I've decided to enroll Trianna into Junior kindergarten!!! Nova Scotia doesn't have the Junior/Senior kindergartens, and they start at age 5.

She starts tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there anything I can do to make this REALLY special for her?

I've bought her a sweet princess backpack and some awesome indoor shoes, but I'm wondering what else I can do to make it a great day for her.


Pictures and videos are defiantly mandatory of course.


Notes in the bag don't work because she cannot read yet.

AHHH! I'm rambling because I'm so excited!!!!

maybe pack a special snack, like a sandwich and cut it in the shape of a heart???

Toodles started kindergarten this year as well. What a glorious day it was. Finally...some peace.

Buy her a bottle of scotch, and then let her give it to you.

I WOULD have some peace if I didn't have another little one staying at home with me.

But it's still nice to get the little chatter box out of my hair for a few hours.

With the photos, and video, you could make a scrap-book together.

Well, it's official! She is CURRENTLY at school!

How wonderful! I was a bit too late on this one. When Raech started pre-school I took her to the coffee shop after the first day for a big girl outing. I let her order coffee. Of course she had no idea that I told the counter girl that it had to be decaf.

So as an update...

Trianna worked VERY hard on her first day!!! They said she was a wonderful girl and very polite. (And bold apparently)

The only thing that could of went better is that she started crying when the teacher said it was time to go home.


......She apparently wanted to stay and play more.

Great stuff. We all need to encourage our children to want to be in school. I hope my son, Caydn, will be the same way next year when he attends Kindergarten.

Believe me. The thrill they will feel at being away from you for a few hours will come as a total shock to you.

On his first day, we prepared ourselves for a bit of a scene. When he was dropped off, he ran into the classroom and waved at us over his shoulder. "Yeah...see you later," he said as he buried himself in activities.

Who starts kindergarten in November? Canadians, first the whole England thing now this. Troublemakers. Anyway, your daughter is too cute, ugly her up a bit for us, k? And, be thankful she digs it, our boy is in first grade and we already have to drag him out of bed every morning.

She does because we moved back to Ontario for 4 months. Back in Nova Scotia, kids don't start school until they are 5 years old.
