Has anyone tried this film?

I was at my friendly little camera store today and they showed me examples. It enlarges like crazy, but it just doesn't have a film feel to it, at all. It looks digital. My friendly camera store lady thought it was creepy and gross for that reason. I don't know. I kind of felt the same way. The one thing I thought is that with what they have pulled off with the 100, which really didn't interest me, made me wonder what they could pull off with a 400 or 800. That I might be interested in.

Maybe because of the grain? Kodak is advertising it as the absolute finest grain in color print film.

Someone came in for negs only, but she made a series of enlargements. Blown up to 11x14 you could not see a speck of grain, but it looked plasticy.

They picture we were looking at was a white teddy bear with a white background, but yeah, looking at their website it seems to be a bit much. Still, I might try it when they start up with the 120, which is supposed to be soon.

So their website says it is ideal for scanning. I don't know all the technical aspects of anything, so I wonder if there would be an improvement. I guess that would depend on the scanner too. I really need a new one. Mine really, really hates black and white.

It looks so digital. I bought a roll of 35mm soon after I started this thread. I still haven't run it through a camera. It just sits in my fridge.

I'm as interested in this as everyone else is, slide is great but so temperamental with blown highlights. Should have some examples soon.

I just got a roll back and posted in the Northeast section. I don't mind it, but it can/does look like digital. I'll probably shoot a few more rolls to see how it does in other conditions.

Got my first roll back (snaps from a photowalk).

No grain, natural colours. I love it.

Hmmmm.

I have a fridge and freezer full of 220 400H and 160s so I don't think I will be purchasing any of this soon, but I am intrigued.

Nice!
I used a couple rolls indoors for the first time this past weekend in Detroit. Should be getting the prints back tonight and shall post.

With the night shot, did you notice any reciprocity failure?

From the shots I got back, just about every shot was as expected, and matched what I metered (up to about 30 seconds). I'm continued to be in love with this film.

I find the colours to be very accurate. This is definitely my film of choice now.

I am loving this shot. What camera did you shoot this on? Is it 6x6 or are you cropping?
