Don't you hate when you question someone in your mind but you don't know enough yet to trust your instincts and not always give them the benefit of the doubt? It sets you up for a big burn.

Someone says for months you're perfect, they love you and you move in with them across states. Then 2 weeks later they stop all affection and start saying you're not who they thought you were. Then 2 months later without telling you things are over, your suspicions become confirmed and she's spending time with a new man. All the while leading you to believe you are still a couple and that if you work on yourself, perhaps her desire for you will soon rekindle.

...not to mention going back to your old job, starting at the bottom and every time you see your shrunk paycheck your reminded of her and you want to punch her in her cunt.

If she was going to up and leave, better that it happen sooner rather than later. I have met some military guys with horrible divorces from ten to twenty year relationships that should have ended in one, due to them being deployed. Bad parters can really destroy people.

Stay away from people like that....no matter how good looking/good in bed they are. If you have been taken advantage of once or twice you can recognise the behaviors. You can bet the users out there have studied how to spot an easy mark.

Sometimes it's worthwhile to look at yourself. Especially if this has happened more than once to you and the reasons given to you for not wanting to be with you are similar. Maybe you need to do some personal adjustment.

Never give everything up to go be with someone unless you have been in a long term (years not months) and good standing relationship with them before considering a move. Moving away from friends and family is taking away your personal support network. There will be times when you give up things like that but it should never be for a questionable relationship.

That's what part of the problem was, I didn't recognize the signs. I've never been taken advantage of before. In hindsight, they are obvious. I can point them all out, make quite a long list.

Before hand though, I did think a few things didn't seem to be square. Just with how I couldn't seem to do anything wrong. I was the perfect boyfriend, she wanted to get married asap, etc. I had no idea the extent she was going to. I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

I fully recognize those signs now and will be able to kick the next one who tries it to the curb without having to doubt myself if it was the right move.

I have taken a look at myself as well and tried to see if there was anything to take away from this relationship to better myself. It's hard to in this type of relation because you can't try to go on what they say. All they have ever told you has had a twist to it. Once things turn, you become the failed one, you're the one to blame for everything that has gone wrong.

So yeah, lesson learned, I'm moving on. Keeping myself busy and doing what I can to have fun. It is New Year's Eve, I'll be headed out tonight for some fun seeking.

Good for you man! Learn and grow. That's all any of us can do. Don't be too hard on yourself either. It's the good people that get taken advantage of. It appears that you have a good handle on this. Kudos to you!
