Since we all have families and times are getting tougher I was wondering what everyone is doing to cut corners. I have been looking into buying my groceries from a coop. Some of the people that I work with make their own laundry detergent and soap. Another lady at work spends about 2 days a month cooking meals ahead and freezing them so that she is well planned out and only shops in between for things like bread and milk.

Walmart accepts all competitors coupons / flyers and matches or beats their prices.

i use coupons at any and all costs. i make ALL of Sadie's baby food from scratch. i make her wipes too - if anyone wants the "recipe" for that, let me know!

I will have to see if the one in my town does that. Now that you mention it I never see anyone using coupons there.

I do please! If anyone wants the laundry detergent recipe let me know. I also have one for heavy duty hand cleaner.

@ the upper-middle class university @ which I work you can't get a microwave at noon, I think everyone is broke. That said, to store chips and pretzels we use binder clips I get from work. Furthermore, store-brand cereal tastes just like the national brands (to kids).
