Wow, I have been so lazy that all I have been doing is sitting at the coffee table with the mpc2000xl flipping samples from youtube with my laptop also on the table..... I haven't touched the equipment besides that in a little while.

Ever been too lazy to get your ass in gear to create something proper?

no. I might not have the best outcome from an attempt, but I pretty much spend all my time working. That being said, I am in grad school for my MFA, so I have to just to survive.

Eh, given that I do primarily post production, I only work when the work comes to me. I don't have much to do otherwise, so I don't feel bad about the time I take off.

I guess I could be working on some personal projects...

Obviously it hinges a lot on the project. A boring lab procedure video for MIT is going to be a different kind of motivation than a Victoria's Secret runway show. Basically, my best motivator is when I've invested myself emotionally and intrinsically to a project. If I'm just getting paid for a video, then I work better with extrinsic motivators like a demanding/high profile client, or a truckload of $€¥£. But even that will always be less than the personal work.

But if I don't feel a project, nothing will motivate me at all so I just avoid those projects and decline them when presented with them. Like weddings. Hate 'em.
