cheap beers: pbr or high life.

good beers: its about Sweetwater brewing company. Sweetwater 420 - pale ale or Sweetwater Blue. yum.

I also enjoy a good blue moon on tap with an orange. certain milk stouts.

Fuck IPAS though... no thanks to the after tastes they all seem to leave in your mouth.

I just can't get into Blue Moon brews. I don't know what it is... I've had other witbiers, weiss, and hefeweizen beers and enjoyed them, but Blue Moon just doesn't do it for me.

how bout chimay? it's incredible. blue moon is made by coors, so look at it as the rice version of a spiced wheat beer.

I had Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat recently and enjoyed that, and everyone's telling me it's almost identical to Blue Moon, but I don't see it.

Guilty Pleasure: Sam Adams Chocolate Bock (oh so chocolaty, but oh so girly sounding)

Go-To Beer: Most of the bars around here suck pretty bad. Usually don't have IPA's, so any ale really. Also: Guinness.

Go-To Cheap Beer: Yuengling Black and Tan

Classy beer: Dogfish Head 120 minute, Stone Ruination IPA or Rogue Old Crustacean! Really though, I always drink classy (unless I'm at a big party), so whatever I'm usually drinking.

-Tonight, in honor of my promise to Corley, I picked up 2 sixers of Blue Point Hoptical Illusion. I'm currently enjoying one six, while the other is safely tucked away in the bottom drawer of my fridge. I'm a man of my word Corley! Now it just has to make it to the next time I see you. Mansion party the latest, I'd hope.

That said:

Hoptical Illusion:
9$ for a 6 pack, 6.3% alcohol, 60 IBU's.
Very smooth, hoppy, slightly grassy flavor. Well balanced with a good amount of malt. Low alcoholic undertone. Very smooth chew, even the head is delicious! I can see why you like it Corley, top marks in my book! Will post a picture when the stupid T-mobile website starts working again.

Adam, have you tried the Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout?

It's strong, very chocolate-y, and GREAT with cheesecake as a nice, thick dessert beer.

Also, anyone tried Monty Python's Holy Ale? I saw it but the price ($12 for a sixer) kind of deterred me, plus Ruination was pretty close by and much cheaper, so I jumped on that instead.

That's because I have Wegmans, THE best grocery store, no questions asked. My Wegmans has a specialty beer section with over 300 types of beers, and they're at supermarket prices.

God, I love Weg's.

ELOHEL.

Back onto the topic of GOOD BEERS, who's had any of the J.W. Dundee Brews? That's made right here in Rochester at the High Falls Brewery, also home to the pisswater known as Genny and Genny Lite.

(and Sam Adams, but that's a secret. Sam's brewed across the country, but them Bostonians want you to think it comes from the harbor.)

They have the honey brown, an IPA, a wheat (hefeweizen), a pale ale, a porter, and a pale bock, all very good... They make a fall/winter seasonal which I haven't had, but would assume to be good.
