So I spent an entire night downloading the demo, and in the morning when I played it I was horribly disappointed. The controls are the worst I've seen since Outbreak, and generally the demo is just terrible.

Anyone else want to shout out their opinions? Has anyone else played it? Has anyone even gotten past the huge axe wielding guy or the chainsaw guy in their respective levels?

Havn't played the demo, but have seen video's of it from a few months ago. It looks awesome, and I strees looks. But if the controls suck, well that's going to blow.

So you were playing on PC...what about the controls on a console? Any idea? Or did you get a hacked version you downloaded for a console?

RE4 is going to be tough to beat. Those Spanish speaking zombies and that merchant are going to be tough to beat.

I'll buy it at a high price.

You forgot: Come back any timeeeee...

And I was playin it on PS3. I personally loved the looks of it, even the in game graphics were impressive. The transition into cinematics though were so bad. I could go into detail, but really, when playing a survival horror game where the main idea is getting through on limited ammo, and pretty much using your wits not to attract too much attention, you really want to have a good control system.

There is a big chance I will still buy this when it comes out. Afterall, tis Resident Evil! You can't turn your back on such a thing... Maybe they'll start making games about traditional zombies again, instead of some Plagas parasite.

I played it and thought it was awesome! The controls are basically the same as RE4, so I dont know what you are talking about. I played it on the 360 and thought it played really well. What I did to beat the chainsaw-wielder is run through the streets and turn around and shoot the barrels as he walked past them. They also give you a few grenades in that level, so shoot the barrel and while he recovers lob a grenade. The axe guy I had no problems with, I just unloaded on him and he died...

So I bought and beat RE5... Everything I said about it before was proven false. I still do not like the demo, but the actual game itself is great, they really made the partner AI better, and once used to the controls and the normal actions of the game, it really gives itself to a great game. I have to recommend it for anyone who cares to continue the series!
