hi all, I need internet help bad! I have two computers, one is my main computer that I use for everything, the other is almost identical, but i only use it for sending programs out to my cnc machines(I'm a machinist). My main computer has a trendnet wireless USB adapter that I use to connect to the internet through my work's satellite intenet service. The funny problem that I have been having is that my main computer can barely connect to the internet now, however the other computer(that shares the intenet through a 10/100 ethernet router)connects just fine. I don't know if I have a virus, both computers run AVG free, and the daily scans always come up clean. HELP ME TECH TALK, YOU'RE MY ONLY HOPE!

I assume you mean the second computer is connected via an ethernet cable to your router and not wireless. The most likely problem is simply the wireless sucking. Hookup the first computer to the router with a cable and take out the wireless USB adapter. If that works then you know the computer is fine and either your wireless adapter is failing or there is some source of interference. Main sources of interference are cordless phones and crappy microwave ovens, but it's possible some of your machinery is causing problems. Also, anything in between your router and the wireless adapter, especially metal, can degrade the signal.

If hooking up with a cable doesn't solve the problem then start looking for problems such as spyware infections.
