I'd like to give my thoughts on this movie, but the guy in line before us bought the last two tickets, and we saw Confessions of a Shopaholic instead.

Good story and such, but I never really connected to the characters, I bet if I had read the comics it would be different.

I saw Watchmen on Sunday. I've not read the graphic novels, so I can't compare it. That said, the soundtrack was very heavy handed, the dialog often seemed unnatural and forced, and the characters were all unlikeable. It was pretty to look at though.

Also, Eli escorted me out during the scene with doggie violence, but it still gets negative points for that.

I enjoyed watching the prison break scene.

I would have preferred that the movie both start and end there.

I think once the director's cut or the uncut version hits home video, it'll be much much much better. It felt like whoever edited it was going for boobs, dick and general gratuitous violence, nudity and language just to sell tickets. Also the actors were kind of "wooden", more like downright fscking awful. Then on top of it, the editor left out important pieces because the story felt like it was in pieces and that there were pieces missing.

Lately, movies are so much better once this happens...like Deathrace and Tropic Thunder...both were good in their theatrical releases, but they were much much better once their unrated/uncut versions hit video. Personally, I don't know how Robert Downey Jr. got snubbed for Tropic Thunder, not after seeing the uncut version.

Fixed. Don't forget, it's not a *real* penis until the unrated version comes out.

Mixed feelings on this one.

Yeah, it sucked if you watched it for Ben Stiller...it's the rest of the cast that was worth watching. Just do one thing for me...skip to the end...when the credits start...Tom Cruise will either make you laugh your ass off or sit there scratching your head....with you, I'm betting the latter.

A lot of people still haven't forgiven Ben Stiller for The Heartbreak Kid (man, the Farrelly brothers are shit now!).

Tom Cruise? Sure, he's a short, psycho mother effer, but I still like his film work. Risky Business is still one of my fave films of all time.

Tom Cruise plays a movie producer in Tropic Thunder. The stereotypical middle aged balding jewish movie producer who's trying to be 20 again instead of 50, and he was actually GOOD in the role.

I said skip to the end because the last couple minutes...well...he dances...and you have to watch it to believe the scene. Trust me. I thought it was funny.

I got a hold of the director's cut of this movie and it takes care of a lot of the issues I had with the theatre cut. A lot of issues.

It's a little more than 3 hours, but if this version had been released, it would have made so much more sense and would have been so much better. This version was actually really good, compared to the theatrical version.
