It's bad.
Okay, maybe I was just tired, or in the wrong kind of mood, or annoyed that I saw this because Watchmen was sold out, even though I didn't really want to see that either. Or, maybe Confessions of a Shopaholic was just a waste of time. To be fair, the cast were fine. Isla Fisher did the lovable fish-out-of-water character well, and the male protagonist was essentially a cheaper/younger Colin Firth, which is not a bad thing. Basically, though, this was a montage of someone's favourite bits from other movies in the genre, with some halfhearted attempt at continuity after the fact. The plot does not flow, at all. Progress is obvious and mechanical, dragging the viewer screaming from one awkward scenario to the next. So, I would say: don't bother. If you're keen for this kind of movie, go watch Legally Blonde for the tenth time, instead.
