tonight i thought i would wake the beast, my grand prix, after a long winter slumber. I put the battery in the girl, turn the key and she rumbled to life, that is until the battery light came on and it petered out. Tomorrow im alternator shopping. But i do have to say, during the time she idled she sounded spectactular! may only be a v6 but there is somthing about a throaty exhaust that a 4 banger in a rice burner just doesnt have!

well i have to say even the stock exhaust hmmmmmmmmmmmm anyways i just called around, imagine 250$ for a new alternator, 79$ for a second hand one with 90 days warranty, if i go through 2 this summer im still ahead!

sam if ever you need parts for an american car try www.lecavalier.com, this junkyard may be far but they are the biggest in quebec have 25 guys in thier call center and they are cheap, the store at the yard looks like a napa! they even have a speed shop with parts from all those ricers that fly off the road.

anyways, every time i fire up the beast i realize there is no replacement for displacement!
