I decided to put one of these together for a friend of mine who is on the same level of gear whoring as I, although in the closet about it.

I don't have all my cameras, waders, boots, backpacks and whatnot but some of this is usually in the mix...

What do you have?

Whoa, hilite has a nice lens selection. I'm not familiar with either one of those tripods, they look pretty good.

I do have travel Kleenex, but c'mon who would list that. ;)

The Cullmann belonged to my parents (it's older than me) from their trip to Germany, long before the wall came down.

the Induro is a recent buy from vistek, I love it cause it actually fits inside my backpack, and pretty solid.

Honestly I'd believe anything about lights told to me by a person who keeps "The Lamps of Louis Comfort Tiffany" at her bedside.

So you see, its a very deep issue. I've been plotting to get the giant collector book. Sadly its $200 too much.

Spares. If one of them gets lost or broken, you're fucked if it's the only one you have. Plus, you can mount other light sources to a second tripod.

Well I have one digi (that i shot it with), but the hassey is there, and I have few TRL's and rangefinders. Don't really use them tho.

yeah its on a junker manfrotto that I picked up for $8 @ goodwill. I sold the fancy ass video pan head that was on it for $100!!

Its short one column of legs, but after hearing a friend complain about his tripod rusting -- I figured a junker might be better in water.

After carrying a 21" black dildo all day for work, that's the last thing I want to do.
