Okay, sounds like it's one of two things...if it's a memory dump issue, it sounds like you may have a hardware issue. If it's rebooting itself, it could almost be overheating or a dead ram stick. One or the other. I'm betting on a dead part somewhere along the line. I highly doubt it's the OS if it's rebooting into safe mode. Usually when it does that...it can't load a driver for a piece of hardware.

I lost an AGP Bus way back when that did something similar before it just decided to die. It decided that it would eat my video card. This was back in the days when ATI Catalyst drivers didn't play well with USB hubs and USB devices. So, I had to use modified drivers to make anything work on that PC.

Linux!! Get yourself a Fedora install disc off the interweb and have fun. Unless you depend on MS programs. Which, I stayed away from for a few years...and came back to Vista.

Enjoy Vista, it's crappy in some respects (usability) but the 64 bit version has been rock solid on my computer. This from someone who used Linux as their only OS for at least 2 years....Vista, I <3 you (until you f me over!)
