This was come up with my besit friend. Its a training technique that will help work with communication leadership and radio usage.

-establish a suitable location that you wont be disturbed

-add obsticles in field or woods etc

-blindfold one person

-Use radios to transmit/acknoledge directions to blindfolded personel

-Navigate obstacles manipulate objects and critique

(you can use personels gear and other items)

I think some kind of radio training is a MUST for any group.

I've found myself in a bind several times because of a comms. fail. It's never been a big deal, thankfully, but there's always that one time.

The two biggest concerns I have are pretty much related.

First one is people fucking around. I understand UE is supposed to be fun, but on the radio, you should make it quick and simple and to the point...not much chit-chat as things can turn sour at any time.

Secondly is people that don't answer their radio, or have it turned down/off. This is probably related to the first one though.

But training is a very very good idea Mark.
