well kids, after looking at the car for a couple of weeks, I have decided that I really want a new Camaro. If I didn't own the Cobalt, or should I say OWE on the Cobalt, the Camaro would be a bargain at a shade over $200 a month for 60 months for the package and options I wanted. But, since the Cobalt is worth, at best, $11,200 and I still owe $23,000... guess what, we're doing front wheel drive for another couple of years.

so, as the Rolling Stones once said, "You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need."

It's nice. But I'm disappointed they didn't put the "dog dish" style gauges in it like the concept car and the '67 had.

Shit I think I would just pay someone to insurance job the cobalt, or take on another payment if its really that worth it to you. But I doubt up there anyone "In-Sure-Ance" jobs anything, since your far from the border.

Try three years. Once that car is paid off, then sure...you can have a camaro. Until then...you have to wait.

There's lots of things I want too...trust me. I can't have them. I wouldn't mind one of those cars, but there's no way I'll ever afford it. I saw one yesterday when my mom and I were at Wal-Mart, I wish I could have one after that, either that or one of those Shelbys that Egglefield's has.

But, I think of it this way, if I were to try to get either one, the interest rate would kill me and I'd be paying as much as you are for the cobalt, or more. With my credit score, I'd be looking at anywhere from 12 to 21 percent, depending on the bank and if they wanted to give me a loan in the present climate. If so, then that's what they'd probably give me. Even on a new car. Mostly because I don't owe anyone anything. You can't get credit if you don't already owe people your soul and your first born in this climate.

I know, little miss practical, but until things get better, there's no other way to be.

edit: And all of the 'new muscle cars' are doing a good job styling wise, not a huge fan of the Camaro's tail lights or the Mustang's swept-back grille/headlight area...The Challengers are great looking, as well as the Chargers. I've heard the Chargers are underpowered, as well as riding and handling like shit though. Bummer.

I'm not a big fan of the 2010 Mustang. Ford had a perfect looking car, and destroyed it. I love the Challenger. The one I drove was far from underpowered.

I believe the Challenger I saw at the dealer a few months back was either the R/T or SRT-8 version and it had a nice "Gas Guzzler Tax" on it.

On a conversely related note, I saw a Smart Fortwo out driving around today. I was in my lifted 4Runner at the time and really had to concentrate on resisting the urge to run the fucker over.
