sam, nismo owns emblems to all these cars, hell he claimed in a thread last week about dieing cars that he owned a whole fleet. In quebec the price of plates, if you have that many cars you better have a real good job

none of them are under my name, and its really not that expensive to plate shitty cars, and 2 of them are company cars so fail. I poted plenty of pictures of my old car when I had it, I havent posted any of the new one because its nothing special, appearance wise its stock

is it just the early model cars? as I said, my mom's is a 2007 1SV sedan with the 2.4L/auto and it's solid. Granted, it only has 14,000 miles on it, but still...

My Cobalt, there is only ONE thing that rattles... the sunshade for the sunroof. It's a Cobalt thing, but it doesn't rattle enough to annoy.

I dunno, every G6 I've ever been in gave me the fear of the interior collapsing on me. This particular one was an '07 with 30,000 miles. I wouldn't say they're a terrible car, they seem to hold up mechanically... but every one I've driven felt like a miled out mid 80's Chrysler.

i know Consumer Reports tested a car just like my mom's and hated it, but I place very little faith in them because they seem to import biased. I really did lose faith in them in the mid 90's. On the interior, there is too much wasted space on the passenger side... it's big plastic space staring at you... Could've done something on that side. The 2.4L is a gutsy little engine and lets you know... I hate a quiet engine anyways. That was the big complaint... lack of refinement. Do you want refinement or a bucket load of lets go when getting on the highway or climbing hills?

So far, as I said, my mom's car has been trouble free. A couple of people at work have them, the nicer tiers of course, and so far they have had nothing bad to say. My old shift leaders son has a first year G6 sedan and it's got about 70,000 miles on it with no fear. However, my boy Matt has a 2006 of 2007 G6 coupe and he has had some weird quality issues... the quarter window leaks on the passenger side and froze the seat belt retractor up... i thought that was kind of weird, myself.

in quebec doesnt matter if they are shitty or not 260$ a year either way. and once the car hits 4l or more they start dinging you for 30$ more for 4 l up to 150 for a 5.2

one good thing we got going in quebec is no safety inspections. well only if the car has been "off the road" for more than a year..... Just put a plate on it for 1 month every year to get around that one!

New York has gone stupid over inspections. So has Vermont...In Vermont, for example, you can't have over a certain amount of rust showing on the body of your vehicle. Cover it with duct tape, or spray paint it, and you're fine. In northern NY, they have not started emissions testing as they have in NYC and Long Island... If they tried that here, people would old go insane because there are many old cars running around.
Our vehicle registrations run two years... for my vanity plates, it's $87 every two years on the Cobalt, $35 for the normal tags on the Monte Carlo.
