Ungrateful daughter and husband think it is appropriate to complain about what I don't get done. I am I the only one who dirties clothes, eats the food and shits in the toilet? I THINK NOT! On my way to get groceries, take back returnable cans, get cat litter, and pool supplies. Now to fight all the old fucks that don't work and think they need to shop at noon with the working folks. Sounds like you should stop doing things for awhile. Only do YOUR laundry, let the cat box overflow with stinking cat feces and urine, only wash a dish when YOU need one to eat off of... Seriously, my mom did that once when I was an ungrateful teenager. I can't honestly say it made me do more around the house, but it did make me appreciate what she does a lot more.

My beef:

1) Last two pay cheques have been off by at least $100,
2) inadequate supplies,
3) faulty equipment,
4) I am the lone worker/supervisor of a job that requires at least 3 other people,
5) customer (manager of the store) furious that job is taking too long,

I took out my frustrations on my boss the other night. In a parking lot. At 1 AM with NO WITNESSES. Seething Irish profanity. All the terror of barely contained rage. I barely raised my voice above its normal range, but I could see the man begin to shake. It was his hand, which he raised to scratch his head. And his voice; he choked on his words. He sounded like a guy on the wrong side of a shake-down.

So I backed off. I took the last word and turned on my heel and walked away.

He got in his car, and drove off.

Now my conscience is telling me that maybe the man was a bit terrorized, and that maybe I overstepped the line.

Otherwise, I do not know what's it's like. I take matters like this very seriously, and while I may roll over (or gently disregard) on some things, when it comes to my labour and the money I'm owed for that labour, I make it clear that this is a NO FUCK AROUND zone.

And YES I've had issues with this guy on this particular matter before, but it did work itself out in a typically mysterious way.

I won't reveal how, but that magic lasted a long time, and I was quite happy. But now...

...time to get the game face on and let Bossman 'understand my position.'

The problem KK is where we work...you piss somebody off, specifically the person who handles your paycheck...you will be calling Memphis, TN for help from now on, every fucking week. So...you don't piss off the person that sends the payroll in to the check printing company.

The people where we work are so vindictive and miserable that when you piss them off, you will pay. They will find ways in the union contract to fuck with you legally. I work in a department where if you piss off the scheduling clerk and she knows you don't like overtime...she will fix it so you have overtime up the ass for a month, or until someone else pisses her off worse than you did.

shit like that happened to me once, so I stopped working at the apex of a critically late project and told the man that he could get fucked til I was paid. Magically he handed me a check in less than 20 minutes... amazing things happen when it's his ass on the line and not mine.

But my personality is the type that if you make it personal.. you had better be willing to take it all the way to the floor bitch, because I WILL make your ass twice as miserable as you are making me.. I don't have many work friends myself either. Only person I'm actually glad to count as a work friend is the union steward who was my line operator on my crew until this curtailment shit. He checks in with me and some of the other people I work with at least once a week to see if there's anything we need or if we're getting screwed over. Like he managed to make the company count holiday pay days as time worked, so instead of 48 hours pay for last week, they owed us all 52 and mine at the second highest rate I'm qualified at, so they paid me about 19 bucks an hour for 52 hours.

Mostly it's only answering questions for us lately other than that and he did fight a battle for me, which he won, back around Christmastime. He's also preparing to fight another big one. Not just for me, but for a lot of us.

I do my best not to make enemies and I don't get involved in shit, it's not worth it. I put my 8 in and go home most of the time.
