I've driven by it a few times and was wandering if anyone knew anything about it?

It has been empty for a long time as I recall, and Live/Bing has a nice shot of it on their Birdseye function. I'd post a screen grab or give coordinates, but I don't know how to use those functions on Bing maps.

If you look at Dayton it is about a mile and a half west of Possum Creek Metro Park at the above intersection.



The personal responsibility train left the station years ago, and you gave it the finger as you watched it leave.

It's in *really* bad shape, much worse than the pictures show. Make sure to bring a P100 mask if you plan on exploring, lots of loose asbestos insde.

Also, beware of the bat in the basement. He tends to be quite territorial.

EDIT: A daytime explore is probably best IMO. There's so many holes in the walls light from a flashlight can easily excape. And theres so many holes/hazards in the floor, a light is pretty much mandatory to get around.

Okay, so I've seen that gallery before. I didn't realize it was the same place. Great shots though, I'm glad someone got in and shot it before the demo.

There are, to my knowledge, no plan to demo it. It's still there, and you definitely need to go on the daytime. Be SUPER careful in the old wing of the building the floors are not spin in the classrooms, the hallway seems stable though. We went when it was raining and tht place is so leaky and rotten that it was raining as hard inside as outside.
