I have to drive hours out of the way on my wedding to pick up my daughter when my parents were going to drive her earlier in the day.

my daughters mother is kinda like this, the trick is to make her think she's in control all the time.

I try to make things easy, i'm active, I pay child support, I see her a lot, you would think that would be adequate. Its not even that she wishes we were together. She chose to leave me *not that its a bad thing* when Tia was 2 months old. She just wants to be a pain in the ass for the sake of it, this is a minor offense.

Ex's that are like will most likely always be that way. A friend's ex is brutal in how he uses the kids to get back at her. He has physical custody of the twins because she works 4-12. They were being taken to the YMCA every morning before he leaves for work. She went to court to change the agreement so that she could have them every morning before school. She went there with the idea that he could get them up and drop them off at her house(which is on the way). They could stay in their Pj's and get dressed at her house, eat breakfast and she could help them go over their homework before the bus comes. The crappy ex and the creepy lawyer of his ended up getting the judge to agree but she has to go pick them up.

My ex-husband's daughter was a part of our wedding. But she was young (about 11 years old) and by 9:00PM she was tired and crabby and just wanted to go home.

He called his ex to pick her up; and she wouldn't. She said it was "his weekend" and suggested that we deal with it. So his mother actually left our reception to bring his daughter to her house so she could go to bed.

Yeah, there is an herbal remedy for just that sort of thing. Plant some in her car and call the cops. That usually calms them down a bit because you can't hear them bitch and whine from a jail cell for a few months.
