anyone have difficulty restoring from a bkf. our system at work, because we are cheap, uses the windows backup utility. anyways i have these monster BKF files but whenever i do a restore all i get is empty folders. any ideas

While I have never tried this, you can apparently open BKF files in Vista (and presumably 2008 and 7) if you install Removable Storage Management. You can do this from the Programs control panel. Might be worth a try if you have a Vista machine around.

Ahh, windows backup utility.

If you disable indexing (like many websites recommend to speed up your pc)

You can't make or restore a backup using the Windows backup utility.

So you enable it when you need to. And keep it disabled otherwise.
