The gender-ist fact that the average shoe store only stocks about 2% shoes for guys and often only have the display model of a specific model/size in stock.

That shoe stores tend to be carpeted. This allows you to get the shoes home and wearing them in public where you discover they make squeaky or otherwise annoying sounds on non-carpeted surfaces.

I hate the fact that I can pretty much only shop at Payless Shoes. I wear size 12 women's shoes and can't find anything in that size anywhere else. It's disappointing!

Interestingly, I have a friend with size 12 feet who finds remaindered bargains all the time around here, while average-sized feet people like yours truly resort to paying full price.

join the club. now i usually just buy unisex shoes. and nike makes 11's that are pretty roomy.

hey at least the career i'm gong into will never require me to wear formal shoes, or heels. those are a chore to find in an 11/12.

I'm only 5'9".... I was already up to size 10 women's sneakers by grade 6... The big sized feet thing runs in the family. My dad's 6'3" and wears size 14 shoes, my mom 5'10" and wears size 11 shoes...

I have size 6 or 6.5 feet. I get great bargains all the time, but it's sometimes hard to find shoes in my size.

Argh. I keep on clicking on this thread because it says there are new posts by shellyl, but there never is! It is making me crazier than a Fedge dealing with the prejudice against men in our society when it comes to trying to purchase shoes!
