i just got given a 1992 ford tempo for ZERO dollars. now what to do, its old man driven in showroom condition. Use it as a winter beater OR get 6 tickets in a private box to the monster truck show if i let them crush it. any ideas

I vote for a lift kit and a set of mud/atv tires, then use it as an off road vehicle. Just for shits and giggles. Also might make a hell of a winter beater that way.

I have to agree. If it was in my possession, I would make it my car for road trips since if I remember right, the Tempo does pretty good on fuel economy on the highway.

I like PRE 70's Fords, but the Mustang is overrated imho. The Tempo design was a good attempt at a modern economy car. Was always impressed with the loop rollercoaster ad. Pretty good for a wet sump engine! They had better commercials of the loop, couldn't find. That car could be useful in retro films since it's totally stock. Might be worth listing with a car film agency.

what i did always find interesting with the car was the mid production re design, it only applied to the 4 door, they made an actually respectable looking car out of that. the 2 door was the old body style.

Which should be approximately 20 minutes. If it's anything like the shitbox tempo I owned.
