	i am a member of the Champlain Valley Classic Cruisers car club and last night I finally made it to one of their Friday Night Cruise In's at the old Skyway Plaza parking lot last night... My dad actually went with me with his 79 Thunderbird... we had a good time and there were quite a few cars there. Everything from Mustangs, Camaros to something I had never seen before, a Studebaker Commando. I only managed to get two pictures, two damn pictures!!, before Shaels' camera died.

	sam that car of your dads is sweet, as much as i hated them as a kid i admit its nice, i always hated the seatbelts on the trunk lid that some of them had! skyway plaza now there is memories of shopping at Kings/Ames (the napa in back) or woolworths and grand union and the old movie theatre all while watching the fireworks for the 4th of july at the airbase [last edit 8/29/2009 6:03 PM by nostra-YOUPPI! - edited 1 times]

what's funny is that when I was a kid, my parents had a car almost identical to this one. In fact, the car never really has escaped my father. When my parents split up, Mom kept the Thunderbird and traded it for a new, at the time, Ford Escort.

The car my father built is a 429V8 backed by a C6 and a 9inch Ford out back.
He shaved the hood emblem off, added a Boss 429 hood scoop (so the air cleaner would fit) and a calibrated 140mph speedometer out of a 77 LTD II cop car.

Ah ok I remember going to some sort of drive-in event like this with my father up that way in a parking lot. I thought it would of been funny if you were there around that time and we passed by not knowing we might meet again.
