A waste of time and money.

I liked the first remake, and I like the Friday the 13th remake, so settled into II thinking it would be good slasher fun and creative kills.

Instead it was a lot of psychobabble and scenes of people "going crazy". Like other Rob Zombie movies the regular people are all ugly vulgar hillbillies. Saw the "twist" ending coming. And no creative kills, instead it was just brutality. The doctor who, in the origials, was obsessed with chasing Michael Meyers was transformed into a total money grubbing asshole.

Skip this one folks. Save it for the $1 Redbox rental night.

One redeeming feature: During the costume party scene, the chick dressed as Frank N Furter was really hot!

I saw it on opening night and was greatly disappointed. I liked the first one but absolutely hated this one. I nearly walked out in the middle of the movie

Rob Zombie was off with this one but I'll still check out the movies he makes - heard he is going to do a remake of the blob next - that could be cool. The 1988 one now looks dated with cheesy effects.

someone just please tell Zombie to use other characters than sweaty dirty rednecks and strippers!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought that for an R rated film it was unusually tame. The violence seemed to mainly take place off-screen or in the dark, just enough for your imagination to take over. The ending was a let down, the mother imagery was overused, etc...

It was an ok movie. Not a huge fan of Rob Zombie's versions of Halloween. I love the originals way better. Thankfully there were less tits showing in this one than his last one and I completely agree that he should use less sweaty rednecks and strippers in his movies.
