hmmm... maybe you should consider either unlowering the cars or moving someplace else if tearing the oil pan off your ride is a possibility.

you have seriously torn a pan off due to road conditions?

Oil pans are a regular wear and tear item on a lowered car. Spark it or park it.

Unless it's like my buick. I've already been warned that I'll have to replace the stupid thing eventually due to just normal wear and weather conditions up here, also that it looks like it's already been replaced once. The guy that does my oil changes looks at it every time, just in case.

While I do not care for modified cars outside of 4x4s, I do know if you need to replace the oil pan on your car almost every oil change, your doing something wrong

Nis, man, I live in the Adirondacks and our roads suck balls... i have yet to hear of someone shearing off an oil pan on their lowered whatever. Maybe Quebec is that bad, but damn... i think after number three pan, the lowering kit would be coming out or I'd be buying a dune buggy/off road vehicle.

Shael... your oil pan is a common problem, one of the only recurring problems, with a Buick 3.8L V6... it's a stamped steel pan and pretty cheap. They rot and puke everywhere. Rudy had to replace his on his Grand Prix.

I never said I changed my oil pan after every oil change.....

the problem is construction zones, I bent my control arm on a sewer that was sticking out of the ground 4 inches. Plus theyl cut out sections of the street with out puttin any cones or signs around it so if you hit that at a descent speed its all over

yeah, i can back this up... when i used to run up to Lachine, whatever passes for public works up there was working on the Candiac/Delson exit off of 15 and there were manhole covers sticking out of the road... not a problem normally, but you're coming off 15 at 70mph... I really couldn't imagine driving a lowered car up that way.

So run some tires with a decent sidewall.
