J bodies are worthless in Ontario... it'd be worth the drive for you.

Co-worker just bought a gorgeous little '98 Cavalier 4 door for $100.

ok... you guys want to help?
outstanding.
I am looking for a 96-99 Cavalier coupe. Manual shift. 2.2L OHV engine. A/C would be nice, but not a must.
it must be for at or less than $1000.

by the by, my brother the tame GM tech looked at my Monte Carlo last night and doesn't think it's the head gasket. He thinks that when we put the intake gasket on and then remounted the lower intake, we overtightened and crushed the gasket. He's going to put it on the lift tomorrow PM and look at it. I drove the car 150miles last night and it didn't gush at all. This car does some funky shit.

Be glad the 'Teg sold. You really don't want an automatic Honda. Been there, done that. You have to remember that I LIKE Hondas.

I'll keep an eye out for a car for you. Is Florida too far?

Are either of those what you're looking for?

you guys have made some excellent finds... the one I was most interested in was the 92 Coupe... these cars are just gone out here on the east coast. Rust ate them pretty hard.

that's what I love about uer... you folks rise to a challenge with a fury.
now, who can deliver it? (kidding kidding)

as hard as this is to believe, the Z24 was always too much of a problem child to ever want. The 2.4L TC was a nightmare. And besides, it's out of my price range.
Seriously liking the two from above, the 92 and 97 I think.

i did, but at the time, I couldn't swing the money. besides, i couldn't in good conscience drive a 1st Gen in the snow... there are like NONE left it seems. You want an exercise in futility? try finding a 1987 Z24 hatchback with a manual shift. You've got a better chance photographing Sasquatch.
