No, just arrested. We didn't even get handcuffs, as we all had pretty clean records.

So, you were ticketed and not even arrested? You'll probably have to go for an arrignment, then they will give you a court date.

You didn't have to go into a holding cell to wait til whenever they wanted to pull you out, finger print you & take your lovely mug shot after you've been in a holding cell with crackheads and hookers (probably), then send you BACK to the same holding cell to wait some more. Then finally after four hours let you have your one phone call. Meanwhile, your family / friends whoever (if you have them) are scrambling to get you a bail bondsman and you meet with him, and then you go back to said holding cell and wait four more hours. Next, they decide to put you into housing.. you get your mat, flipflops, and a nice orange jumpsuit. You meet a lady who is wearing toothpaste on her lips as chapstick, and some bitch with big hair tells you "yer never gonna make it in here little girl!". Then you go to be released and the whore behind the counter tells you they made a mistake and your bail is a CASH BOND and you're not going anywhere until you come up with cash money instead of a bondsman. Your family has no idea why the fuck they arent bringing you up, and they are just sitting there waiting for the assholes to release you. Your family then has to scramble around for 250.00 cash bond inorder to get your released. You sat in a cell for almost 16 hours, due to unpaid traffic tickets and a busted taillight. Your bank account is emptied. As you're walking out of the building you have a panic attack, and did i mention you have to work an eight hour shift in three hours?

Hey, I never said it couldn't be worse. In fact, I'm quite pleased that all we got was a violation, considering the circumstances. But we ended up in a police station at 1 AM, and by the time we got home, I was royally pissed that we got busted for the stupidest thing of the night.

Well we were taken down to the station, and all of our info was put into the system. And the guy DID say we were under arrest. But yeah, I already have a court date for the 24th. I have to figure out how to get it off of work. ("So...I have NO vacation time, no personal time, and no flex, but I really, REALLY need this day off. As in, unless you want to see me in handcuffs...") I'm sure it'll go over well.

Poor Injektilo, though, has to come back to NY just for damn court. Yah, he was with us.

If you got a court order to appear, aka a summons...your employer HAS to let you go. There is no ifs ands or buts about it. Take the summons to your boss and tell him/her/it asap.

I was simply stating she didn't get "arrested". That is all. Though now I see that she was actually taken in, so i will consider that an arrest.

...how the hell does THAT work? What if I plead not guilty? And doesn't that depend on where I work?

It really isn't that exciting...we went where we weren't supposed to, we got caught. No police chase action.

It was only one cop? If you had run you probably could have gotten away. Unless you are physically backed into a corner, always run.
