| | | I post on Craigslist. In the beginning, it seemed to be a wonderful tool to get rid of stuff I no longer had use for. But lately, I find myself waiting around for people who tell me they are going to show up, and never do. What the f#ck is wrong with these people?! I've started telling them right from the get-go that if they can't make it, changed their minds, found something else, etc, just to call or email let me know. Recently I have posted a condo that I have for rent. It is a FOUR HOUR job for me to show this condo, as it is a vacation home and a 3 hour round trip for me. I have people email the shit out of me about the place; then never show up. Or if they do show up, they don't have jobs, or on the brink of bankruptcy, etc. WTF??? I don't ever remember CL being such bullshit before. I recently had a guy come and purchase a wood stove from me. He showed up (on time, no less) and asked if someone was around to help him load it into his truck. Luckily, my cousin was there, but what if he wasn't?? This guy couldn't have loaded this thing by himself. After he got it into his truck, he started trying to dick me around about the money; was trying to pay me $75 less than what we had agreed on. I said "If you think for one minute that I won't have you bring this back in my cellar, your wrong". Then he actually THREW the money at me and left. I had another genius come to pick up a large swingset with an SUV. My bf actually loaded it into his truck and delivered it to his house (45 minutes away) just so we could be done with it. Gggrrrrrrr

| | | Posted by JBuss I sold a load of old Red bricks i no longer needed from a remodel of my backyard. some contractor wanted them, He showed up on time but came in a CIVIC.. I asked how the heck he thought he was going to transport 3,000 pounds in brick in a civic. He told me that he expected ME to load them them up and follow him 2 hours in MY truck.
| HAHAHAHAH that's funny. what a tool. Posted by Debi But that doesn't help me out with showing the condo. And the realtors want too much money for listing them for you.
| I still say you charge people a $100 fully refundable deposit that they get back if they show up at the showing. This should help weed out the BS people. I'm currently trying to sell an LCD monitor that came free with a computer I ordered. I have no need for it and it goes for $230-250 new so I figure I'd list it at $200 and if people offer me $175 I'd sell it for that. I've gotten some great offers: - $125 - a BMX bike - an old crappy dresser - $100 I just got the $100 offer from some random idiot and responded for that price I would saw it in half and he could pick which half he wanted. We'll see if I can string this out into something that would be worthy of http://dontevenreply.com/
