it pisses me off when people create Database locations, based totally on a few crappy exterior photos! to take this pathetic-ness one step further, there is a few locations in the database where the location was photographed from a moving car!

you half-assed lazy non-talented sticky-keyed bastards, there is nothing worse then foggy interior photos- shot through dirty windows! you lil credit wanting shits should put some effort into photographing the location before you create a database entry! your trying too hard to look cool by having a large number of database entries... ITS QUALITY NOT QUANTITY!

You're right, there are some poor database entries out there. I don't regularly check out other provinces or States, but in the Ontario section of the location DB, some of the entries are not the greatest. I believe some of the worst entries are in the delete queue though.

IMO, the DB is the greatest resource in the the UE community. I think it is under-utilized by many, who don't subscribe to their province/state or town and in some cases, never view locations at all.

Phrenzee- its nice to see that i'm not the only one who is bothered by this. altho you are right, i searched for the "the blurry drive-by house" which i think was labeled as "red house" in gravenhurst, has been deleted. the quality of the locations you posted makes me want to add "the big apple" in Cobourg into the database... here are 2 that i don't care for:

hummm, but if these two structures are in the database maybe the big apple isn't such a bad idea!

it seems like more then half of the database locations have been demolished, a good option for the database, would be to be able to filter out the "demolished" locations from the still "abandoned" locations.

There's been a huge increase in these types of DB entries lately... it's sad!

There's a fine line between a "place holder" style entry where there's promise of more detailed galleries to come. But if the entry lingers with nothing added, it should be deleted. I even nominate one my own, here. Feel free to delete it. I'm sorry.

There are a couple of mods who try to clean this sort of thing up, but they can't spot them all. If there's stuff that needs attention, I'd post a note in Contact a Moderator and get someone to do what needs to be done.

Hey, some of us scout for new locations, explore them, and do not create entries. I have no problem giving people info about a location, but I don't need to contribute directly to the DB. I contribute by helping others explore, and they could create a DB entry if they wish. I don't have the desire to create a DB entry, I do however review them and notify the author about misinformation. Just because some people create few (or none in my case) DB locations does not mean they're a tard. I feel completely justified in using the UE DB to find information without having ever created a single location, I even contribute money to this site occasionally to keep it up and running. Each person has a small part to play... I don't like being called a tard, that was a pretty broad stroke with the brush you took there.
