this team is playing excellent hockey! Number one in their division and pulling away from Boston in number two.

Again they beat the Leafs 3-2 tonight FACK! I curse you Ryan Miller!

Haha i thought his words were funny "I really don't like them. They're a rival and they're in our division," he said. "They constantly talk about how they're going to rough me up every night. I love nothing more than to get a win against them and send them an hour-and-a-half on their way"

Damnit, (among other things) we need a good goalie again. I wonder what Ed Belfour is up to these days...

Damn no i must of missed it. I bet it was good though.

Biggest problem with the Leafs is their goddamn PK. I believe all 3 goals last night were on the Sabres PP. Just sloppy play all around, can't dump pucks, their forecheck is garbage, defense is lazy. They're just playing bad hockey right now and it's hard to watch. That first goal Toskala let in should of been saved and would of been saved by a midget A 12 year old goalie. He was good in San Jose, but playing in T.O he's just garbage. I would of traded him long ago and spent that 4 million on another goalie or something else beneficial to the team.

Let me tell you something though. If Miller stays hot through the Olympics next month, Team USA will be tough to beat with him between the pipes.

Kessel is an overrated piece of garbage and Brian Burke gave up way too much in order to accommodate him in a Leafs uniform.

That 2-0 loss to Florida (Florida!) tonight was just embarrassing. The Maple Leafs really need to do something drastic to steer the ship on course again.

i see Ottawa is #2 now... they bumped Boston out of position. Buffalo still has a commanding lead in the division, but need to start playing better. The loss to the Ducks was just, well... to lose to the Ducks??? Gasp. Cough. Sputter.

Oh like you don't hate/make fun of a Leaf goalie? Hell i make fun of them and they're my team.

So the Leafs be making some trades. Good to see new faces, but a little sad to see some older faces gone, but that's the business. I have some thoughts...

As for the old Leafs...

Vesa Toskala - Glad to see him go. He had one good season in T.O before it all went to shit. Hopefully he can rebound and be a good backup to Hiller down in Anaheim.

Jason Blake - I think Blake is very talented and has the potential to score another 40+ goals in a season before he retires. Sadly, we just won't be able to see it in a Leafs uniform.

Matt Stajan - Stajan was the second longest running Maple Leaf i believe behind Tomas Kaberle and i was kinda sad to see him go, but that's the business i guess. His numbers were not up to par anyways so i felt this was coming soon anyway.

Ian White - White showed good promise in his first couple years in T.O, but his numbers were lower and lower the longer he stayed with the Leafs so i think this change will benefit him greatly.

Niklas Hagman - Yeah he scored some goals, but at the end of the day he's a bum. Good riddance to you!

Jamal Mayers - He's actually wanted a trade for awhile now and i'm glad to see him go.

As for the new Leafs...

Dion Phaneuf - Phaneuf is a big body that should fit in well in Toronto. He's a gritty player that can lay out the hits and has a natural scoring touch. Pair him up with Kaberle and you've got quite the defensive line right there. Phaneuf will re-adjust to the Leafs style of hockey very quickly and i wouldn't be surprised if he was given an "A" near the end of this year or next year for sure.

Keith Aulie - Don't know much about this kid, but if Burke says he's good i'll give him a shot. He did win a gold medal with Canada at the world juniors last year so he does have some potential.

Fredrik Sjostrom - I think this guy was just tossed in so the Leafs weren't trading 4 for 2. I don't know much about this kid either, but hopefully he a become an elite player for the Maple Leafs.

J.S Giguere - A great guy and a proven number 1 starter. I kind of saw him leaving Anaheim soon after Hiller was signed long term and officially made the number 1 in Anaheim. Giguere is the new veteran goalie that the Leafs needed and i have no doubt he'll put up good numbers in Toronto.

Yeah really good game tonight. Phaneuf was good in his debut, but Giguere was a beast in net. It's nice to see the Leafs get a shutout cause it don't happen very often.

And i did catch a bit of the Canucks/Habs game and it was good aswell. Nice to see Montreal get a win and stay in 7th spot in the East.

This is why Wednesday's game between said teams is going to be something.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I think that if Brodeur would have been in net against the Leafs last night, the score wouldn't have been 3-0. There would have been a bit more of a challenge. Go figure. The night they give Brodeur a rest and put a shitty goalie in net, they lose badly.
