Your absolutely right! I was having that exact same conversation earlier today with someone. They probably would have lost the game if Brodeur had started instead.

I'm not saying that the Leafs would have lost with Brodeur; just saying that it probably wouldn't have been 3-0. Maybe more like 3-2 or something.

Seems like the Bruins are not doing too well. Habs beat them 4-1 on March 2..

Ah damn i'd love to go, but i'm working saturday night. Well i work every night which sucks...but that's besides the point.

So your team is doing pretty good. 6 game win streak and still keeping pace with Ottawa and Philly for that 5th, 6th or 7th spot....plus keeping distance between them and the Bruins in 8th spot. It's gonna be an interesting finish with the Lightning, Rangers and Thrashers all within a few points of that final seed.

On a side note - I saw on one of the event pages you had minor surgery? Everything good?

Yea everything's good... I guess you might not even call it surgery..I had an ingrown toe nail removed (tasty, I know lol). My toe was frozen with two different agents but I still felt everything, even the cauterizing afterwards. Funny thing, the toe nail I had removed had been bugging me off and on for about 10+ years (once had half the nail removed).

It's too bad you couldn't go to the game. It will be rowdy for sure. I'm going all out for this one!

Ah yes the tasty ingrown toenail lol. Couple years ago i dropped one of those 2x2 patio stones on my left big toe and basically had to pull the toenail off afterwards because it was just hanging there. Anyways enough of that toenail talk, how was the game? I couldn't even watch any of it because i had to work early, but i saw the highlights (3-2..Go Leafs! ) and heard it was the 3rd largest attendence record in the history of the ACC or something like that? That's pretty crazy.

Well, there were definitely more people there than capacity.. I ended up having to go alone (my friend didnt make it down), but I scored a gold-bordering-platinum seat right behind the Montreal players bench, about 11 rows up from the ice. The four leaf fans in front of me were actually very nice guys and were trying to get my sign on tv. Even though Toronto won in the shoot out, Montreal still gained 1 point. Still in a good spot for the playoffs.

Aw sucks you had to go alone, but at least you had a good time which is most important. And yeah the Habs are sitting pretty nice in 7th spot. They should have a lock on one of the bottom seeds, but if the playoffs are made they've got that question of who to start, Halak or Price. Both have really flopped in the playoffs last 2 years so it should be interesting how Jacque Martin works it out.

Posted by Samurai

And your team is playing some damn good hockey recently aren't they? Since the start of March they've gotten points in 9 out of 11 games which is pretty impressive. I hope Miller can carry them far into the playoffs, but as we all know your goaltender can't win the game for you.

In the past two playoffs, they've always played Price. They use Halak for the last few games of the season, but then save Price for the playoffs. This season Halak has been playing a lot better than Price. He has a better save average (there were many games he made 40+ saves). I'm hoping that they either switch the two of them up equally during the playoffs (if that's possible) or just use Halak. Price's problem is that he lets the pressure of the playoffs get to him and then we never make it past the first round.
