I was in Quebec City a few weeks ago and really enjoyed taking night shots... This can be a bit of a challenge cuz I shoot Olympus! I was out the other night messing around and snapped this! Let me know what you think...

Maybe crop up and to the left more to center the road a little better? The white balance also looks way off. Otherwise its really nice.

I'd process it more in post. -- If I could get permission and show you, I think it'll be easier to view rather than explain. Up to you. Good job otherwise.

It's hard to process when I'm not working with the original, but here's what I came up with:

Original:

This picture stayed the same as your original. Nothing changed...

Black & White:

I chose to go with B&W because the original has too much illumination from the street lamps and the vehicle lights. While eliminating the color, I didn't sacrifice the subject and picture. I also cranked up the light a little, but it's really hard to capture this subject for the B&W world.

Color:

If we wanted to keep the color, I then lowered the saturation and illumination of the colors that the street lights produced, and sharpened the picture overall so that the leaves stood out along the street sides.

Color (cropped):

In this rendition, I kept the same settings as the color sample, but cropped the picture so that the subject of the vehicle lights and the vanishing point were caught by the eye.

I think overall, with what I have to work with and what you had to capture, the picture isn't that bad. I'd just be careful shooting subjects under street lamps, unless you want that effect in your shots. (see my exposure shots on Flickr for examples)
