| | | I'm sure this is no help at all since I live in Illinois but, I'll post it anyway. This car (or parts of it) is for sale: Sorry about the odd picture size. '87 Z-24, 2.8L, 4-speed. I pulled the engine a few years ago and then lost interest. It's a shame to see it wasting away like that but, I'm restoring an IROC and I know that I'll never get back to this one.

| THOSE ARE THE WHEELS I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are the wheels that I had on my 91, 96 and 98 Cavaliers. sorry the car is too far away to rescue... my friend had an 87 Z24 with the automatic transmission, digital gauges and sunroof. That car is either a very late 86 or very EARLY 87 as it's missing the cowl induction hood. The four speed manual was referred to as the Muncie box and had the reputation for allowing that car to really hustle from 0 to 100 mph, but limiting the top end. It really was for quarter mile, street fighting work. In it's day, it put the smack down on the underpowered Escort GT's and the non-turbo Shadow ES's. What's funny was that the Z24 replaced the Citation X11 when the X-body said goodnight in 1985. Everything that was learned in that program, basically building a street-going SCCA race car, was applied to the Z. these cars are so goddamn hard to restore now because most of the doner cars have been crushed or wrecked and because of their age, GM no longer offers service parts. Hell, I went to get some odds and ends, trim pieces for my 96 Beretta and because it has been out of production for 14 years, damn near all the parts are discontinued. those are the wheels that would look tits on my Beretta, though.
