| | | I've owned a LOT of cars, but here are a few winners: '72 BMW 2002 parts car- it was FILLED with yard waste, waiting to be picked up for scrap. Buried in the yard waste? A set of 4 13" Alpina alloys, 2 in the trunk, 2 in the back seat, lots of trim pieces, license plate lights (Which I needed!), the owners manual in its plastic sleeve (pretty much preserved), AND the original virgin spare tire, never been on a car before and still holding air. Cool find for $100. '72 Beetle - brand new pair of headers for a small block GM '87 BMW 325i - Bought it off of a very very gay man. I had no idea so many varieties of condoms existed (all unused ones). And some really suave sunglasses. And a purple umbrella. '74 Bug - Found a Timex watch rusted into what remained of the floorpan. And it was still working. 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo - I didn't own it, but while converting it into a race car (It was BRAND new...) we found chocolate chip cookies and 75 cents US underneath the tar sound deadening material under the carpet. Very strange, especially since the car was built in Japan. '74 Sun Bug - A photo of the car the day the owner purchased it brand new in front of the dealership. '65 Fiat 1500 Cabriolet - A bunch of Beetle parts in the trunk. Perfect!

| | | My old Suburban had a ton of stuff in it, an IBC root beer bottle, trailer hitch, Citgo gas station squeegee, a bunch of magnets, some weird metal strap thing for grooming horses, sunglasses, these new in package security knobs for the wing vent/butterfly windows that were never installed, a brick, a tire pressure gauge, a religious medallion, a big chain, and I forget what else. In my green 74 Impala I found a laundromat receipt from Wiscasset, Maine in 1994, a bank receipt from the 80s, a "Vince Gill - Souvenirs" cassette tape, and a few other random things. The spare tire was also the wrong one for the car and had a big plastic hubcap on it for some reason. When I got the Blazer it had a yellow tow strap behind the spare tire, a Deftones bumper sticker, air fresheners, a bunch of audio and electrical connectors in the center console, about 30 ballpoint pens, and some other things. When I tore out the carpet, I found dog biscuits, about 10 bucks in quarters, and half of a Jackie Chan Rumble in the Bronx puzzle. The yellow 74 Impala was the best one. I found every single piece of paperwork pertinent to the car, including the original unwrinkled MA title in it's postmarked envelope, receipts, vehicle inspection reports, everything! It also has the owners manual, the dealer brochure as well as a specific one for Beaulieu Chevy in Spfld, MA from 1974, little notebooks where the original owners tallied all of their mileage and gas purchases, then calculated the gas mileage with it, warranty card, emissions info card, absolutely EVERYTHING. I found the original radio in the trunk, 4 Wal-Mart oil filters (a few years ago they were reportedly the same as the K&N or Mobil 1 filters, I forget) a town of Springfield, MA anniversary license plate, an old Haynes manual, and other stuff. A while back when vacuuming it out, I found a supermarket matchbook under the front bench seat that was promoting a sale that took place in 1976. hahaha
