I really had no fear to show- not to sound ballsy/overconfident/like a douchebag/whatever, but his build/height is not much to fear... and the stats were 1 v. a group a guys and a group of girls

Punch him? If not you should have. I would have. I've been threatened and attacked before. The first time I was too shocked. The second time a beastly rage was unleashed from inside of me. The same feeling comes up when I see or hear of one of my friends getting harmed by some dumb fuck.

I insulted him a little, and walked away. The setting was not appropriate for me to stir the pot *too* much.

He took a swing at my sister right when I left. I wish he took a swing for the back of my head when I walked away so I would have an excuse to go full out and use my mace.

Hope she recovers quickly. My sister-in-law had it too and it was nasty. She's much better now but she was feeling pretty lousy.

People like this really piss me off, especially when you can't retaliate for fear of losing your job. We've had people at work threaten to come back or "wait for" us when we got off. This is one of the many reasons we're not allowed to leave alone.

Thanks so much for all the well-wishes, guys. UPDATE: My mom is off of oxygen and out of the ICU. They're saying she might get out tomorrow, which is good. I was really hoping she'd be out in time for Thanksgiving.

No update on my brother. Oh well, he can use a little anxiety about what's about to happen to him.

Holy shit! What type of work did you do, if you don't mind me asking? I have a buddy that works in collections, but was cautioned to never wear her badge in public.

I think I was a little bit unclear in my story.. it was my (former) assistant manager threatening to beat us up (and who took a swing at my sister), not a customer.

I just open accounts and finalize loans and whatnot. We're not allowed to give out the last names/location of the Collections reps, and a lot of times members will take it out on us. We just get some crazy ass people. Some people are very particular about how their money is handled. Go figure. (Even though most of the time we didn't do anything wrong--they just fucked up.)

Also, my mom is officially out of the hospital. Thanks again for all of the well-wishes. She's feeling much better, and is out in time for Thanksgiving, thank God.
