Posted by wannabeotaku I've never been in a rattling mid-90's GM. My dad's 2003 Silverado rattled like crazy, though. It was a truck, so we didn't care. A work truck at that. My mom's 2007 Honda Oddy rattles pretty bad. So did her 2005 Accord. Honda chased the rattles and they killed them in the Accord, but I think they're fed up with the Oddy. I'm looking at Caravans as a replacement because no one else builds a van we like. Dad's 2007 Ridgeline is solid as a rock. He overly abuses that thing, knocked the rearview mirror off after owning it for 2 months, jack-knifed a trailer into it the morning after he bought it. Not surprised at all that your Cobalt doesn't have rattles. Every Cobalt I've seen that was in poor condition were that way because the owners just didn't care about them. BTW, every one of my 3rd gen Accords have been rattle free. The newest ones are up on 20 years old now. That's how Honda needs to build cars.

The Odyssey is interesting; I think most of problems that Honda has with it, is due to the fact its uses the Accord platform for a Minivan. If they dump that concept and created their own platform for a minivan, then I think they might have something.
A Caravan is always a wise investment. Chrysler through out all its incarnations has taken good care of the Caravan brand name and its quality. There's more Caravans out on the road now hitting 200,000 miles and that goes to show you how reliable they are. I'm actually thinking of getting a Caravan again when my Isuzu Rodeo (dba Honda Passport) starts to loose life. I'm leaning towards an AWD Caravan.
