Has this been done before? Search yielded nothing.

After driving up to my parents' for Thanksgiving, I thought this deserved a thread. So here are mine. Some of them, anyway. The ones I can think of off the top of my head.

1. People who pass you on the interstate, then slow down.

2. People who refuse to move over when you're in the left lane and are clearly going faster than they are.

3. People who, when waiting to turn left, decide to floor it as soon as the light turns green, and expect you to wait for them.

4. Tailgaters.

5. People who are in a long line of cars following one slow driver, and as soon as space opens up in the left lane, veer over to pass everyone without letting you (who were in front of them) in.

6. Jersey drivers. (Sorry, guys...)

It's been discussed before, but in a tailgaters thread.

I hate:

-People who pick out the parking spot while still on the road. Then turn directly into that spot by slowing down on the road and then going in.

-People who take the turns to a side road from the main road by slowing down to 5km/h.

-People who do 70 in a 90 and 70 in a 50.

that's all for now.

Oh don't get me started on this. Every single day I have to fight off the urge to take a tire iron to the cars around me. Or throw molotov coctails at rubber-neckers. Or throw rocks at tailgaters. Or... fuck you got me started

This happened to me years ago. My car broke down at a red light. I get out when I can't restart the engine, lift the hood and then it's time to call for a tow truck.

Asshole behind me starts blasting his horn, I walk over thinking he's offering to help. Next thing I know, he's yelling at me to get a move on. I point to my car with the hood clearly visible and wide open and said the car's dead.

"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! MOVE IT NOW!" was this guy's reply.

"YEAH,YEAH, WHEN I GET A TOW TRUCK. GO AROUND ASSHOLE!" I replied while going back to my car.

Few more blasts from his horn which I ignored (sadly, not even the horn was working on my car) and he then goes around me.

Sad part was that there were three empty lanes and this was a one way street. He could have moved around me easily or at least have enough patience to go around at his earliest opportunity. Gee, like I deliberately had my car break down just to inconvenience him.

What do you mean?

Parking lots here for strip mall type shopping access don't have an entrance and an exit, but have a full length parking lot access.

....

Parking lots are what you drive into then pick a spot right?

Well if there's a spot at the end of the building people here won't pull into the parking lot then drive to the spot, they'll drive to the end of the parking lot, then turn directly off the road and into the spot.

One of the places.

Okay, so I see the type of parking lot you are describing, but what part of that bothers you? Isn't the parking lot designed to allow entrance and exit directly from each parking spot?

Sorry, I'm not arguing that the behaviour is wrong, I am just not familiar with how it is wrong

I think the problem is they slow down on the main road, in the traffic lane, forcing traffic to stop - instead of pulling over into the parking-lot-lane, slowing there, and then turning in to park.

3. People who, when waiting to turn left, decide to floor it as soon as the light turns green, and expect you to wait for them.

There is no way I'm going to wait five more minutes in traffic... I will floor it as the light is changing and cut across as far before you as I can though, so it won't slow down anyone except for those who choose a drag-race-start.

People I hate
A ) Handicapped old women who do 30 in a warning: slow down to 45 highway-highway ramp.
B ) Oblivious men who do 40 when the handicapped old woman 2 cars up is doing 30.
C ) Traffic cop who gave me a ticket for using the shoulder to get out from between them.

So you are choosing a drag-race-start and if the person going straight chooses a drag-race-start, then there is going to be a collision, and that is your fault. I once just missed a car doing the left hand turn thing, it was rainy and cold out, the light turned green, I didn't go that fast, but I had AWD and winter tires, so my car launched easily. Since I wasn't expecting the person turning left to go, since I had the right-of-way, I almost hit him. I called the police and he got charged with careless driving. He almost got arrested for threatening me and my wife, lucky for him, he finally calmed down. He used the same excuse you did, why should he wait for other drivers, he has some right to move through the intersection ahead of me. The officer didn't agree with him.

I hate it when someone accelerates away from a stop light at a snails pace. I understand that some people do not like to waste fuel, but when driving a standard, I would like to change gears within the first 500 feet please.

There is a difference between fuel saving acceleration, and being a slow ass motherfu#*er

People who don't use turning signals. This pisses me off so much. Or when they put their RIGHT blinker on and turn LEFT.

AGREE. Maybe this is why I don't like the drag-race-left-turners, either. When I hit the gas, I go go, and I don't like to slow down unnecessarily.

Yes, and as such they could have pulled into the lane a few seconds earlier when there was space, and not have to stop for the traffic in the other lane as well.

Sometimes, when a certain someone gives me directions, he says to turn "right". And when I get in the lane to turn "right" he yells, "I SAID RIGHT, RIGHT!" What he didn't tell me was that by "right", he actually meant "left".

Buahaha. This happens so often. I guess it humors me more than pisses me off, except when I'm getting screwed over by NJ traffic for switching lanes 2x.

Or worse, people who signal AFTER they've started turning or changing lanes. Ya, like thanks for the fucking news flash, retard.

I have this one friend who does this on the regular basis on purpose. It started as a joke, as he'd say "turn left" and then point right, as if gesturing, when he really meant to say "turn right." It became like a game: learn which direction Dan wants me to turn. Unfortunately, I find myself in the position of taking directions from him more than I'd like to. We've gotten ourselves hopelessly lost a few times.
