You aren't being smart by beating the traffic behind you, you're just being an asshole.

I like to keep pace with them and then not let them over forcing them to pull over onto the shoulder most of the time they have to stop which make sit damn near impossible for them to get back into traffic... Fuckers.

The people that let the cutters in piss me off way more than the cutters. I love being in the right position to deny them reentry to the lane; it's like winning the lottery. I have two intersections like this on my way to work (where people go straight from turn only lanes to get ahead), and one on the way home. Every day I approach them hoping that the timing works out and I get to be the righteous asshole.

So true!

All of the area's around here are three lanes merging to two, or two lanes merging into one. Most people merge over but there's always that one asshole who could've merged over but decides they can speeds up and try to get in ahead of everyone. Feels so good when they have to brake and get behind you.

I was driving on a busy montreal street
Two lanes becomes often only one because of parked cars.So this truck go in the left lane and start to turn left.At the second the light goes green he swerve, speeds up and put himself in front of the file.And he did it again.And again.You tend to notice a car to your left,but ignore him if he signal his intention to turn, right?
Anyway I felt like following this guy home and torture him.

When a lane is ending, the proper way to drive and NOT slow traffic down is as follows...

Drive to the end of the lane and merge.

Do not drive past the end and then merge.

Do not merge earlier then the end of the lane.

I know this sounds wrong, but it is the fastest way for everyone to move. It must be performed like a zipper. One car merges, then a single car proceeds forward in their own lane, a second car merges, then another car proceeds forward in their own lane, a third car merges... ect.

If any single vehicle moves over early, they are essentially slowing down the entire column and allowing other motorists to pass them and 'skip' their place in the proper order.

I should be more clear. If I'm in the through-lane and there are 5 cars in front of me and many cars to my right waiting to merge and the zipper-merge is functioning correctly... then I am actually 10th in line.

When someone merges early, another car will pass that person and merge correctly at the end of the lane. Now I'm actually 11th in line. After several early mergers, the through-lane nearly grinds to a halt. 12th, 13th, 14th.... 30th place..... Early merging vehicles SUCK! So do the aggresive assholes that swerve around on the shoulder from a merging vehicle and force their way to the front. Or the same assholes that actually drive down the shoulder once the lane ends just to get a few more spots ahead.

Can anyone explain what the fuck exactly is happening when someone is waiting for traffic to clear to make a left turn, and they pull all the way over to the right so that no one can pass while they wait, and everyone has to sit there like assholes? What the FUCK IS that???!!! I see this on a regular basis and it truly blows my mind.

This drives me nuts! I think they don't want people to squeeze by? I still do so dunno wtf they're trying to accomplish.

Also, not sure if it's been said on here, but the people that slow the fuck down to turn right and veer to the LEFT first. People in tiny cars do this to pull into drive-ways too.

I have an hour "reverse" commute in the mornings and a sometimes 2 hour one home after work.

The cutters drive me fucking batshit b/c they're the reason for the huge delays but I too relish keeping them from getting in. I just keep right on the ass of the person in front of me in that high-speed 3-5mph crawl we're all doing and that cutter is beside me getting more and more pissed (I hope) till they're forced to fall in place where someone lets them in. All the while I'm thinking "just hit me fucker...I have full coverage"
