could this be caused from the big sitting for four or five months

Without a doubt. A couple of my bikes that I've revived had been sitting around for years. They all had gunk in the bowls that had to be cleaned.

If the gunk problem is not too bad, the cleaner product can help out. I think I ran three bottles thru my bike, plus some good fuel and about three hundred miles. she runs great now...

You can see a million miles tonite, but you can't get very far.

that is definitely a fuel system issue. you can regap the plug and blow out the air filter if you like, but i'd be focusing on the carb for now. pull and clean the bowl, change the inline filter and flush the tank; if there's sediment in the bowl you might want to throw a kit in it.

Rather then start a new ATV thread.....Sam i'm going to hijack yours briefly.
Need some technical support

So this morning I took possession of a brand new Baja 250 ATV.....from....you Guessed it, Canadian Tire. So check out this deal. Two customers had bought this thing and couldn't get it to stay running. Both returned it. So I called all of my resources and explored the options...and it basically came down to, get whatever you can for it ... called "salvage value" and claim the rest.
SCORE. I couldn't get much for it hahaha So for literally a few hundred bucks, I loaded it onto my trailer and it's mine.

So anyways, after some hours of fukin with it, it's running.
There's a digital speedometer/odometer on it that comes on, lights up, but is not functioning. speed and odo always read zero.

Anyone know how quads read speedo info? is there a sensor at a wheel? point me in a direction before i start tracing wiring top to bottom

I don't need to be reminded of anything CT related thanks!

Pay CLOSE attention.....brand new for a few hundred bucks!!! Not a few thousand.... not half price!

Even if I rode it two or three times and blew it up, it'd be cheaper then renting one and is cheap entertainment

Im just laughing at the review, have fun with your new fourwheeler. I dont know how your speedo picks up a signal but i suspect youre going to be stuck with it if there's no parts support for these machines.

took the carb apart on my Kawasaki tonite... it was dirty. The petcock was dirty. My brother cleaned it all and still the same shit. So jason decides to drain the gas tank... there as a sandbox at the bottom of the tank and several assorted wrappers... yes, WRAPPERS. One to a soda bottle, a couple to candy bars, stuffed into my gas tank.
there's the problem.

someone has got it in for me.

Better wrappers than salt or sugar. Has you gots inline filter? You shoulds put one in if not (seen folks simple get rid of, instead of replace em)
