Random tip-of-the-day for you Hamiltonian rail nuts

There's 3-4 orange SD40's parked in a small yard off Wilcox St. in Hamilton, getting some repairs done by a nearby rail facility.

is that across from imtrex, where the CN warehouse used to be?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

Interesting to see tie bars on this line. Any particular reason or just for more stability?

Probably. It looks like the rail isn't spiked to a lot of those older ties, and new ties were inserted in between.

I'm guessing this is the Beach Branch Spur south of Burlington West?

Pardon the bad editing...

An eastbound CN SD-75 and "Dash 9" pull mixed freight over the Brant St. overpass of the Halton sub.
