The engines actually belong to Don Hearn and The Hearn Group but he is letting SOLRS restore them. He donated the engines, some road and a repair facility to the group. Yes, this S1 is still the oldest in Canada.
They are trying to make a deal with the ETR so that they can run a dinner train from Windsor to Amherstburg along the ETR road. This group is also responsible for ETR 9 aka ETR 109 which I have included a picture of below.
Locally, a few members are also restoring the Spirit of Windsor. The Spirit of Windsor is a Pacific 4-6-2, ex-CN 5588. It is on static display in Dieppe Park along the River.
