I love it when they leave that one Canada Post mailbox or that one TD Bank sign. Police Academy is full of these.

I watch movies to be entertained, not to get enraged about slight obscurities or goofs

I would think if your goin thru the effort to make a movie/show atleast do some basic homework in reguards to the subject matter at hand. Don't "dumb" it down and therefore.insult me.

Yeah...I agree. I hate sometimes seeing how radios are used in movies. Now granted, sometimes I can see the prop people have a sense of humor like in Live Free or Die Hard where all the bad guys were using Yaesu radios, while the good guys used ICOM or Motorola gear

one thing that tweaked me about Apocalypse Man was we didn't see him snap the ignition cylinder, or steering wheel lock mechanism... but then again, it was an old GM with the lock cylinders that wore out and didn't need keys.

There was some christmas movie on Disney years ago, while walking through Toronto there were a bunch of VERY familiar looking newspaper boxes that said "The Chicago Sun", also the CN tower was poking thru the skyline.

the "commish" that cop show a few years back was filmed in vancouver. one day a bank robbery scene was filmed in a royal bank
very obvious because of the standard furniture from the early 90s, the covered all the lion logos but the posters were still there. like the royal shock absorber car loan ads with the 2 cars, one of which was crushed

Dinsey movies are either filmed in Vancouver, Toronto or for some reason Edmonton. The "Honey I shrunk the Kids" TV show is such an example.

Now since bandi sunk that low, Lifetime Movies are all filmed in Vancouver. And half the the time they don't hide any unique features of Vancouver on the street. Try watching with the idea it's a comedy and you see what I mean.

The just ended show "Monk" on USA holds the distiction of being the only TV series that has filmed in either Toronto, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. They did a good job making all three look like San Franaisco; you really have to look hard to spot the Canadian scenes. One good one is where Monk goes on an airplane and they try to pass off YYZ New T1 as SFO.

psych on USA is also filmed in Vancouver but the show is set in Santa Barbara, CA which is kind of green. But every episode that involves a train, they use ex -BCRail boxcars with the same flower logo but with "Central Coast Railway" in the same BCR font.
