I've just added the CN Burlington West to the LDB. Check it out here:

Please correct me if you find any mistakes in the info I provided... and also, if anyone knows some more about the old Burlington West station which used to occupy this space, please contribute!

sweet '70 Deluxe bus and '71 Cougar in the archive pic.

i also drooled over the unused railroad spikes, i forge the shanks out on those and make them into knives in my blacksmith shop. the medium carbon steel isnt the best blade material, but it does take an edge. next one i make ill be bending the blade down so it doesnt stick up so high when in your hand...

Maybe it's just the photographer in me, but it might be a good idea to mention where some of those historic photos came from. I recognize a few of them from various rail sites online.

Point taken, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Edit: Photo credits added. My apologies for not thinking of this in the first place.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too!

UPDATE: After reading an article in the Burlington Post today about the old Freeman Station which once occupied the Burlington West property, I was inspired to do some further research in the Burlington Public Library archives. I've added many new photos, information and an article to the DB entry. Please check it out!

Out of curiosity, why was it called the Freeman Station? For eons it's been known as the CN Burlington West Station, after its control point

Keep it fuzzy.
