K guys

I am upgrading and have decided on the Intel I7 920.

Now I need opinions on best mainboards, ram and PSU.

I was thinking for mainboads I would choose one of these three.

top one is the one I am leaning towards the most, last one the least...

I have no idea about modern ram; My knowledge stops when I built my AMD Dual Core 3800. So some ram opinions please. I know it demands DDR3.

PSU, how strong and what brand, Corsair has always been good to me.

Opinions?

thnx in advance.

IF money is no option then I would rate the mobo's in this order:

P6T Deluxe V2
P6T6 WS Revolution
GA-EX58-UD3R

Reason being is that the Revolution board has a bunch of extra's that you will probably never need like SAS Raid controller and 3-Way SLI capability. If you are more price conscious then the GA-EX58-UD3R is the way to go.

As for the RAM- OCZ, Patriot, & Corsair get good reviews and make a good product that work well with the i7 processors.

I'd rate the motherboards as above and would definitely stick with Corsair, both for PSU and RAM. I think a 750W Corsair would do great. Should be plenty of power for a single gpu system.

I couldn't make any specific recommendations on RAM however, I also have been out of the loop since the DDR2 days. I'm not familiar with DDR3 speeds.

Thanks for your responses guys.

So you guys would take the deluxe over the revolution, or choose the revolution first?

From what I could see, the P6T6 WS has 3-way SLI. The P6T Deluxe is regular SLI and CrossfireX. Somehow I doubt you'll want to run 3 graphics cards at the same time as the costs for them would be absurd. I think there are other smaller differences with the WS Evolution but the chipsets are the same as are the memory type and speeds. I guess the WS Evolution would provide some future proofing, but I'm sure you could save a bundle of money by going with the P6T Deluxe instead.
