CVPI electronically limited to 120 MPH

Dodge Charger Hemi Police Edition can go 145+ and has tires rated for 149 MPH and speedometer goes to 160.

The biggest restriction on any vehicle's top speed is not horsepower or displacement but tires.

If you're gonna run from cop cars; a sport bike is the best choice, bar none. A Honda Fireblade CBR600RR is twice as fast 0-60 as a Hemi Charger, far more maneuverable, easier to hide, and most cops won't chase a motorcycle to begin with.

Another thing to consider is that running is often a last second (most of the time rash) decision and the majority of people who do aren't prepared mentally nor are their vehicles prepared for a high speed chase. People with fancy sports cars can afford speeding tickets so they aren't the type to run.

Running from the police 95% of the time is a bad idea. 4.99% of the time you may get lucky. But the last .01% are those anarchistic thrill seekers who's sole intention was to run the minute they get behind the wheel. Their vehicles are prepared and so are they:

done it a couple of times... once in a 98 Dodge Neon R/T (was navigating) and the other time in a 91 Chevy Cavalier RS. (yes, a Cavalier. STFU)
both times were DUMB, but we had the luxury of deserted highways and ONE cop only.

That boat had to be blown or something because it pulled like a freight train from 100 back to top speed. And if it's an Impala, even more props to the escape artist because that FWD whale loves to spin its wheels and wrench the steering wheel from your hands because of the stupid amounts of torque steer.

It would have to be a '96 Impala or earlier, or a Seville/STS to be RWD. If it's an Impala, I would assume it's new and FWD. Old cars can't run *that* well unless they're really babied.

there is a concluding clip to that one where he's pulling away. And yes, it's a RWD LT1 powered 94-96 Impala SS. They caught the guy running only because he ran out of gas.

As for Motorola, Skelly, i don't care what radio they are using, where I live, you can get away if you are crafty and use your melon. Of course, if you were using your melon in the first place, you wouldn't be fleeing the fuzz in the first place, but what the fuck, we all get bored sometimes.

LT1s ran alright, and I wouldn't consider a 95 imapala an "old" car. I mean come on it has MPFI, my 2005 truck has MPFI.
