Now that Newtone has been gone for awhile, has anyone been able to look inside? I know they demolished the section that was behind the gas station, but has anyone been able to gain access to the large area up on the hill?

I saw some pictures awhile ago. I think they were from an official document made for or by the EPA for remediation purposes. All of the buildings looked pretty cleaned out; empty warehouse space, big open floors with mushroom columns, that sort of thing. Not much too see. Too bad, I was pretty interested in those buildings before that.

Haven't been inside, however.

Yes, this is a gravedig, but I thought I'd share what the warehouse looks like now:

Not entirely sure what they're doing with it, as it's been sitting this way for a few months.

I'm not sure what they are doing with it either, but they did do a nice job on the new buildings behind it.

Anyone else notice, they seem to have knocked down the Cincinnati Milacron plant in Oakley too? I was just over there the other day goin to Lowes and saw it on the side of the road... boom, huge rubble heap.

They had an O'Rourke sign on it last time I drove by. I guess they're finally going to demolish it.

And they are...renovating it!

They have put new walls up on the sides. I'm very surprised that they didn't demolish it.

The part of it seen in the photo, which I assume is the warehouse space discussed earlier, is a very bright parking garage. The rest of it was where the hospital and large vacant lot in the front currently are - I think there might be part of the old fencing/gate left right by the UDF.

Shittastic photos of the plant, courtesy of 2007 Google Maps.

I believe the building that is now the parking garage is the ugly yellow one in the first photo.
