If you do extremely large file size scans for prints or whatever, this workflow tip I found would be a HUGE time saver. I wish I found it long ago.

I rarely work outside of lightroom, but I found it to be really sluggish when dealing with 6x7 scans. I'll have to give this workflow a try.

I just ordered a couple 40"x50" @300dpi drum scans... no way I can work on them in Lightroom with my whopping 1 gig of memory.

Nice guide. I might have to try this next time I do an exhibition. Of course, the computers at my school can handle the huge scans I sometimes work on, but why not speed things up a bit?
