Ok, i'll start this one. I was exploring with CB and his room mate one morning, and we were going to go to Photech. Not knowing that Photech had had a nice 6 foot fence placed around it, we tried to get over. I made it no problem, because I had small shoes, nd i could get my feet into the diamonds of the fence.

CB and his roommate, they couldnt make it over. we walked all around the permiter, trying not to be seen, and trying to find a way to get in. We dicided that it was a fruitless trip, and we should go to the next location.

But then there came the task of ME getting back over the fence. the first time I had CB's help.

So I found a tree that i was able to grab onto, and hoisted my way over. at the top, i stopped for a second, because i was distracted by CB's room mate. So I tried to jump over, and stopped about 6 inches from the ground. My coat got stuck like i was on a hanger, and in a coat closet.

It took some doing, but i finally got over.

Stupid fence.

I nominate myself for getting pwned by an iron fence one winter which resulted in immediately breaking my radius into 3 pieces.

I still explored for the next 12 hours. Getting back over that fence wasn't one of my more graceful moments.

I nominate F438 for somehow getting stuck sideways on a fence in the middle of winter, hung up on his golf pants and winter jacket (which are all now completely ruined, of course)
It was made funnier by the fact that his pants were stripey. I didn't know whether to take a picture or help him.
OH and CG and I were both helping him over the fence even BEFORE he got stuck and he still managed to make it to the top and then roll over it sideways. If we had left him there I don't think he ever would have made it down. For real.

Me 2 or 3 hours in explore mode, in 10 degree weather, after having been pwned by the fence to get into this place. I look very sad because I can no longer get my glove off, and cracked my face open on the fall. I managed to get most of the blood off, but you can still see a bit.





A month later, back out exploring with my cast, after it was sized down from around my bicep to just being around my forearm.




"Hey I can't hold anything." "That's because you tore a tendon off!" And back she goes, 9 months later, for cast number two after surgery.





Finally getting the stupid second cast off. Oh. That's what my wrist looks like now.




It's better now.

Up yours, fence.

To be fair I do believe I cautioned against hastily trying to hop the fence.

Personally I nominate whoever the tards were that wanted to bend the fence in the Rochester Subway so that 40 or so people who aren't explorers could get in and see it while it was still accessible (they've since started filling it in). These people would have had to slide on their stomachs through the gap under the fence, which would only have been there because these monkeys were bending it every which way and holding it in place.

Once I pointed out the bolts and broke out the multi tool, we removed the four of them and the hinges were free, rendering the fence moot.

A different kind of fence pwning, but still a good example of uer stupidity at its finest.

thank god I wasnt the one pwned by the fence...my friend chad and I were doing an infil on an abandoned hospital in tallahassee, fl. every thing went fine getting past the first fence. standard chain link with rounded tops. no problem. when we reached the POE we discovered that it was surrounded by two strands of concertina wire. there is a right way and a wrong way to cut concertina. While I was sneaking around looking for another POE chad took it upon himself to handle the concertina. Having never handled concertina before, and being too stubborn to look for sticks and wait for me to get back, chad masterfully discovered the wrong way to cut concertina wire. as I was returning to the original POE I heard a rather loud scream of pain. chad had whipped out his dikes and simply cut the wire. when you cut concertina it wants to coil back into itself tightly. as it was recoiling it caught chad with one of the razor barbs and laid him open across the forearm. it didnt hit anything major, but it did require 23 stitches.

Sprinting to the Taunton fence and getting over it quickly as possible, Ripping my shorts, Leaving in a skirt.
Walked into Friendlys right after half naked. Was wonderful.

I was in a hurry to get over a fence. It was like a 4 foot plastic one and instead of skillfully climbing over the fence I decided just to dive over it and ended up face planting on the other side. Then I cracked up laughing and proceeded to book it.

Not me, but a family member.

The fence was chainlink, probably seven or eight feet tall, and at the top the wire making up the fence was just cut at an angle and then twisted together. Not cut at folded down, or rounded. For an example, this fence is pretty similar, without the barbed wire. When said family member got halfway over the top (feet on one side, torso on the other), he slipped and fell back down, except he didn't hit the ground... The twisted sharp wire at the top had impaled his hand, and he was hanging there off of the ground.

After he got down, his hand was sliced wide open and he was rushed to the hospital.

To wrap it all up, he watched as the doc was cleaning it. The doctor was about cut off a big white strand that was hanging out of his hand, and he said,"Doc, I think that's a nerve, don't cut that." Doctor replied that it wasn't a nerve, it was a minor vein.

Turns out it WAS a nerve, and now he can't feel anything in half of his hand. It's starting to grow back incorrectly, and now some spots in his hand are super sensitive to pain, and some are still permanently numb, plus he gets 'phantom pains' in that side of his hand like amputees talks about when they get a limb cut off.









TL;DR: Family member was climbing a chainlink fence that was sharp at the top, slipped, and ended up hanging from the fence because his hand got impaled by the top of the fence. Then the doctor cut off a nerve and now his sense of touch is crazy screwed up in his hand.
